I’m finaly going to watch the I’m Not There Bob Dylan biopic. I love the soundtrack, hope the movie is just as good as that.

Moneybrother comes from Sweden, and when I first saw the videoclip some years ago I thought “this should be the summer hit of 2005″. But no.
The video was hard to find though. Not on YouTube, and only through a very bad link on the site of recordcompany Burning Heart. A bit of searching brings a nice working link on MySpace.

Last night, while shooting my daily selfportret, Green Day’s Boulevard of Broken Dreams came in mind.

I only knew those first two hits by Tracy Chapman, of which I always thought as being the same song played different. But a few years ago I bought the album Collection, a best of. I was surprised by all the different styles she plays, it’s far from playing the same tune over and over again.

Great jazz funk fusion by Herbie Hancock, expect the other three track on this album to apear on this site before it reaches the 10.000 limit. This track has percusionist Bill Summers blowing in a beer bottle, propably the only time a beer bottle was used as an instrument in a recording studio.

Compiling a mixtape I remembered this track by Terence Trent d’Arby, nowadays called Sananda Maitreya. Even in changing his name he acts like he is Prince. But we have to conclude he has a little less genius.
